All cliff abseiling is closed due to rockfall hazard until the end of 2011.

If there are no more significant aftershocks, Big rock abseil may reopen early 2012.

The waterfall and the cave are closed until further notice.

Abseiling

Pictured is the 35m waterfall abseil. The abseiler has the option of moving into the water and getting wet. To reach the waterfall requires a one hour walk through farmland and regenerating native bush.

If you prefer, Big Rock provides a shorter abseil site just 20 minutes from the carpark.
