It only takes 30 minutes to drive to Orton Bradley Park from the centre of town. This means that we are ideally located for day trips or even after work.

Drive over Dyers Pass, straight ahead through Governors Bay, then around the bays to Charteris Bay. The park is very well signposted.

Buses may prefer the longer and smoother journey over Gebbies Pass or through Lyttelton Tunnel

The campsite is easily accessible to large buses.

Alternatively fit groups may enjoy

  • Start the trip from Gebbies Pass and spend the first day tramping along formed tracks which lead directly to the campsite. Tramp takes around 5 hours and some method of getting participant's gear to Orton Bradley Park needs to be arranged.
